New Loan Application and Instructions
The new OWDA loan application and instructions are now available. Please visit the Application Forms page for complete list of documents required to apply for a loan.



Community Assistance Fund Program Change
On April 28, 2016, the Ohio Water Development Authority Board approved an increase in the loan maximum for a project that qualifies for the Community Assistance Fund. The maximum was increased from $3 million to $5 million.



Change in Loan Application Deadline
Beginning with the April 2016 loan requests, the deadline for loan applications will now be the 1st of the month. Bid tabs are required to be submitted prior to project approval. If the project will be bid after the 1st of the month, please submit an estimated loan amount and certified engineer's estimate with the application. The loan amount will be finalized after the project has been bid and prior to Board approval.



Fresh Water Interest Rate Change
On December 11, 2014, the Ohio Water Development Authority modified how the Fresh Water interest rate is calculated.



New Un-Sewered Area Assistance Program
The Ohio Water Development Board created the Un-Sewered Area Assistance Program at the May 30, 2013 board meeting. This new program is designed to provide gap financing for the construction of new sewer systems for communities with failing on-site systems.



Training For Small Communities
Puzzled by your community water system?” is a three-session workshop for Local Officials. This workshop is designed to assist water boards, township trustees, city council members, county commissioners, and other local officials in obtaining the answers they need to make decisions about developing a new water system or upgrading an existing one. The workshop includes “Putting Together the Pieces of a Community Water System”; “Water Supply Drop-By” professionally led field trip; and “Assessing Community Needs and Gathering Resources”.



OWDA Partnering With The Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force To Raise Statewide Awareness
In support of Governor Kasich's new public awareness campaign, the Ohio Water Development Authority joins Ohio’s ongoing fight against human trafficking; the illegal trade of people for commercial sex or forced labor exploitation that enslaves approximately 1,000 Ohioans every year.
